Idea for a North Idaho Brochure

Did you ever notice how rose coloured the tourism office propaganda is? They can make any hellhole look attractive. Well I've created a totally unbiased tourism brochure for North Idaho (of course it's still in the works).

Come visit beautiful North Idaho and Discover Its;

Commitment to preserving its fragile ecosystems and natural resources.

Great Diverse, Creative Arts Culture

Opportunity to See the Stars of Hollywood

Fabulous Homes and Real Estate Opportunities

Great Pride in its Heritage and Culture

Beautiful Well-Funded Schools

Progressive Political Culture

Openess For Religious Diversity

So come join us here in North Idaho-Where White Trash clash with California Transplants for a great time.

Just wait until the prime eating establishments make it on my brochure.

Oh are you trying to get more people to move here or stay way?
It was great and I got a smile out of it.

The coffee is on.

Very funny!

Is it all that redneck-ey out there? Are there at least progressive pockets here and there?

Boy, that "we support Bush and our troops" sign may as well read, "May all who enter leave their brain and their conscience at the door."

I guess I wish certain people would stay away, but I could do with a few more progressive minded people here.

Dan: It's definitely a mix. Many places in the country are filled with rednecks (I haven't seen as many confederate flags since I was in Georgia), but then you have a lot of people from California who may seem progressive, but are really just close-minded and rich. There is a decent scene of people in Sandpoint, there are people trying. But yeah, in many ways North Idaho lives up to it's reputation set up by Randy Weaver of Ruby Ridge. Mark Fuhrman moved here for christs sake.

I miss Oregon and Wisco.

Well, we miss you too!

Let me know when you're in town next. In the meantime, more of these brochures, please!
